We have noticed that cardboard plant trays, including our cardboard EcoClickTray, are becoming increasingly popular, which means that the market also needed new processing codes for solid and corrugated cardboard packaging. Van Tuijl is a familiar face in the world of soft fruit, even though the company did not enter the soft fruit market until fairly recently. Perhaps it’s because of our bespoke injection-moulded products for growers, which are also sold directly. “Our new Cash & Carry branch next to the A15 in Opheusden has been fully equipped for direct sales”, says Frits van Duijn, one of Van Tuijl’s account managers.

Danish company PlantPaper entered the paperpot market several years ago and is fully committed to automating the production process of such pots. PlantPaper uses entirely biodegradable paper, which means the pots leave no adhesive or microplastic residue in the environment. The paper also promotes a unique airflow to accelerate plant root growth. Pot producer and general supplier Van Tuijl is now the exclusive dealer of Plantpaper products in the Netherlands and Belgium. Van Tuijl enjoys advising growers and will happily perform the necessary tests and draw up a full summary of all costs & investments involved, possibly in consultation with PlantPaper. In addition to its paperpots, PlantPaper also manufactures various user-friendly machines that growers can use to make their own paperpots, which can not only result in considerable savings but will also make it easier to check and guarantee the freshness and quality of their plants.

Our new branch in Dodewaard is set to open its doors around the end of January 2019. This branch will mainly focus on the tree nursery sector and be used to store bamboo canes, plant bags, tree containers and tree nursery products, as well as being home to offices. The location of the branch is extremely favourable, situated in the middle of Europe’s avenue tree centre. Local deliveries are as easy as can be, and so are pickups, thanks to the special new pick-up point for customers who want to come by and pick up their order. On top of picking up their products, customers can also come to get a good impression of what we do every day.
