Van Tuijl founded Vatusticks B.V., its second subsidiary, in 2011. Vatusticks imports Tonkincanes and flowersticks / split bamboo, allowing Van Tuijl to sell these high-quality products at a very competitive price point.

Tonkincanes

We sell bamboo canes from 60 cm to 625 in height and in diameters ranging from 05/07mm to 30/35mm. These tonkincanes are excellently suited to supporting avenue trees, ornamental trees, park trees, container trees, fruit trees, container plants such as Tibouchina, Solanum, Abutilon, Lantana, Bougainvillea, climbing plants such as Clematis, Hedera, Passiflora, Lonicera, Wisteria, fruit vines, such as grapes, raspberries, kiwis, blackberries, and various plants such as Ficus and Schefflera.

Exclusive Toptreeclip dealer

Van Tuijl also has exclusive selling rights for Toptreeclips, binders used by tree nursery companies to allow growers to effectively bind treetops and buds. These binders are available in various sizes (2.5 mm, 3.0mm, 3.5mm, 4.0mm, 4.5mm, 5.0mm, 5.5mm and 7.0mm diameters) and come in black, green and yellow.

Flowersticks / Split Bamboo

In addition to tonkincanes, van Tuijl also sells flowersticks / split bamboo. Pointed flowersticks / split bamboo are used to support vegetable plants such as tomato and cucumber plants and are available in different lengths (from 15cm to 90cm), diameters (from 3.0mm to 7.00 mm) and colours (natural, brown wax, green wax, light green painted, dark green painted, brown painted). These flowersticks / split bamboo are also extremely suitable for potted plants such as Ficus, Hortensia, Begonia, Schefflera, Orchids such as Phalaenopsis and Cymbidium, climbing plants such as Clematis, Hedera and Passiflora, and for trailing Pelargonium geraniums. Bamboo arches

Growers can also come to Van Tuijl for bamboo arches. We sell bamboo arches made from round, milled bamboo in the following heights: 15cm, 20cm, 25cm, 30cm, 40cm, 45cm, 50cm, 55cm, 60cm and 70cm. As standard, these arches come in brown or dark green with a wax coating, with pointed ends. Van Tuijl is also the exclusive patent holder of Cascade Arches and Umbrella Arches. Our O-shaped bamboo arches have the exact same specifications as our cascade arches, but they are round instead of straight. These arches consist of multiple flat strips, which create a rainbow effect.

Clipsticks, patented products

Clipsticks in various sizes (40 cm to 70cm) in brown wax or dark green paint. A clipstick is a pointed bamboo stake with 1 or 2 clips that is mainly used to stake Phalaenopsis orchids. The advantages of our clipsticks include convenience, uniformity, a professional appearance and cost savings thanks to easier workability. Clipsticks is a patented product owned by Vatusticks, Van Tuijl.

Plant racks and bamboo pleached framess

Plant racks, racks made from bamboo and standing anywhere between 40cm to 100cm tall are made from 2 or 3 Tonkincanes. Holes are drilled into the canes, after which flowersticks / split bamboo are slid into the holes to create a rack. These racks are available in the colours natural, brown waxed and green waxed and are used to support potted plants, orchids such as Phalaenopsis and climbing plants such as Clematis and Hedera.
